During the month of October we received a visit from Odette, Mediatrix and Giles, the Chairpersons of the three houses Amahoro in Rwanda.
Mukarange opened in 1995; Kabarondo opened in 1999, Bare opened in 2005. Each House accommodates 14-16 people: the elderly, malnourished children, people with physical and / or psychiatric ... Each home has a manager and a second voluntary "permanent," the majority of volunteers come for two or three days and then return to the family at home and carry out works that have to do in a normal family, and help them raise their guests if have special needs, cook, do laundry, cultivate campi.Il all done by hand and without running water, and for example to Bare without electric light. The parishes have always divided into the central need for entertainment, volunteering is not regular and is always encouraged. The Mass is celebrated in the House about once a week, other days you go to the parish. L 'Adoration is frequent, the daily Rosary and the Liturgy of the Hours, Vespers and Compline Lauds is for everyone. Each refers to the Parish House in the daily choices. The Case Amahoro live bids that come from our Diocese of Reggio Emilia but also by farming that takes place every home. Each is equipped with a terrain where it is grown, bananas, beans, etc. ...
has long been speculated that this trip was made possible given the 'wedding of Paola and Marco. The three girls were in the CDC Prevalet Fosdondo from which they traveled to Fontanaluccia-Pietravolta, Rome and visited other houses. They had the opportunity to participate in the October 15 and some moments of the Centenary of Don Mario and life of the Diocese. For a week, they shared a house for (Sassuolo-Borgo-cell) to immerse themselves more fully in everyday life and I can assure the House that seemed right at home: a normal feature of life with the guests, in prayer, ' welcome those changes. This despite the difficulties with the language very difficult. The daily questions were not lacking: why the House has a van? Who pays for petrol? how the washing machine? and the doctor? All signs and decoy to a simplicity of life for us a bit 'far away. The Diocese of Kibungo
going through a time of great suffering due to lack of Bishop (resigned voluntarily for economic problems of the Diocese) and the difficulties that arise. The uncertainty of the present moment is very strong.
is currently in Italy for two years of training also Bizimana Father, sent by 'ex-Bishop Kizito, to deepen the charism of the CDC and then deal with the case Amahoro. This opportunity was very profitable for its presence and the opportunity to meet together on their journey, their desires, even the possibilities of their future choices. Bizimana father often said that the houses are Amahoro Parish, Christians, and every choice has to be in this direction. During the days of withdrawal Pietravolta we have read together some "signs for a draft charter for the Houses Amahoro", collected several years ago, on which he will continue to pray and reflect. It seems to me a great gift to know and be close to this journey of hope and I would like to convey to all the family of their CoC feel the same way of Church and Family.
Deo Gratias!
